It's got to be rough being the last man on Earth. If the pandemic taught me anything, it's that I probably wouldn't survive staying in a bunker for more than two years. Staying inside for one year got me incredibly down, and I wasn't even alone during that year! Isolation is horrible for your health, and very few of us would last very long being the last man on this planet.

On the other hand, being alone in a "last man on earth" situation is a lot different than being in quarantine. You get to roam around like Will Smith, making your own way in a world. You can break into grocery stores and get whatever you want from the video store without any late fees. The worst parts are definitely the need to find your own food once produce goes bad and, of course, the isolation. People came to Reddit to discuss what they would do if they were the protagonists of I Am Legend, and their ideas are not half bad.
